: Things to try if you think it might be mites: →
littlepixiepie:
“I do NOT usually recommend bathing a hamster in water, because they can easily become ill. Get some olive oil (the cheap kind is fine) and a pan of fine sand (chinchilla sand or low dust sandbox filler) If there is a concern of mites (mange), take some olive oil and rub plenty of it into the…

I am just under 2 days away from winning that...
I neeeed it, if I don’t get it I won’t be getting a syrian as I can’t afford full price for one, and I like this cage the best. For anyone who doesn’t know what they look like:
They also come with tubes and a little house on the top but I’ll be taking those off as they aren’t healthy if the hamster decides to live in them.
xsugarcatx asked: I work at pets at home. if it is a boy BELIEVE ME YOU WILL KNOW. IT WILL HAVE MASSIVE, MASSIVE BALLS :) xx
Anonymous asked: I got them from Pets at Home. How do you find breeders? I'd be keen to adopt them from a pound or somethig but I'm not sure England has them?
Anonymous asked: Recently I bought two dwarf hamsters. They were both sick when I got them and passed away. I found out they had wet tail. It really, really upset me and I want some more in a few months time but I don't think I can handle this happeneing again. Do you know how likely it is that they will die? Like was mine a rare fluke or is a common thing. Thank you.

Sorry for the cage size rants
It just horrifies me, the size of the cages some hamsters have to live in! Its like Harry Potter in that cupboard under the stairs: inhumane.

Hamsters need more space than people think! If you do the math on their body size to the size of most cages sold in the stores, it’s like living in your bathroom! Hamsters are used to having a…

To the anonymous who asked for infinite scroll..
I just had a look and couldn’t figure out how, haha. Help anyone? My brain is completely fried today from biological psychology revision, all that’s flying round my head at the minute are words like lateral inpositus nucleus, or medial temporal cortex.
